The Government of Mongolia and the Mongolian National Chamber of Commerce and Industry (MNCCI) announced the TOP 100 Enterprises today. Golomt bank has been selected in the “TOP-100 Enterprises” for the 19th year in a row and ranked in the top 5, up four places from the previous year this time. In 2021, the negative impact of the pandemic continued, and despite the difficult economic and banking situation in the country, we have adapted to the situation and taken immediate action. We have paid MNT 137 billion in taxes to the country, and a total of more than MNT 360 billion in taxes in the last three years to support our economy.
Golomt bank, investor for a brighter future, since its establishment, has always been a responsible taxpayer and has strictly adhered to the laws of Mongolia. Also, we introduced the first advanced and innovative services such as the first international payment card system, internet banking, 24-hour banking service, Western Union money transfer, ATM, and Smart banking service, which are a smartphone-based banking application. We have pursued a “Customer-centric” strategy, accelerated the digital transition during the pandemic, and delivered products and services that meet the needs of its customers.
The “TOP-100 Enterprises” are selected based on five main indicators, which are annual income, taxes paid to the state budget, number of employees who paid social insurance, and profit and amount of assets by the Ministry of Finance, the General Department of Taxation, Mongolian Customs General Administration, the Social Insurance General Office, the General Authority for State Registration, and the National Statistics office of Mongolia. In 2021, government collected MNT 11.3 trillion in tax revenue, of which MNT 5.3 trillion or 47 percent was generated by the “TOP-100 enterprises”.
