On January 29, 2021, the Parliament of Mongolia approved amendments to the Law on the Prevention, Control and Reduction of the Socio-Economic Impact of Coronavirus Infection (COVID-19), which immediately entered into force.

As the Article 10.4 of the law states that interest will not be paid for any type of demand deposit account during the pandemic, and according to new amendments, Golomt Bank will not pay interest on any demand deposit accounts, starting from January 29, 2021 until the end of the 30 June 2021.
